The Fulbright Friendsgiving at the University of Arkansas was opened with a unique performance by Angklung Ensemble. Of the seven members, four are Indonesian students (two of them are current Fulbright grantees), one is Japanese, and two are Chinese. They played “The Fight” song which is the University of Arkansas Razorbacks song using Angklung which is an Indonesian traditional musical instrument. Such a beautiful mix of two different cultures was primarily made possible by the Fulbright scholarship program that promotes cultural exchange. Febriyanti Lestari, the current President of FSUA as well as the chairperson of Fulbright Friendsgiving Forum, said she was very proud to be able to bring in the Indonesian Angklung performance into this event to play the local Razorback song. Fayetteville, Arkansas,  with its Southern hospitality felt like a second home to her. It is relevant to the theme of this event, that is, for connecting people through international education for a ‘Ful’-brighter future. Moving further, it does connect two cultures.
