Alpha Epsilon Delta is a national premedical honor society. The Arkansas Alpha chapter is a student governed body that has been continuously active on our campus since 1938, and was the first AED chapter in the state of Arkansas. AED offers leadership opportunities, fosters community service participation, hosts guest speakers, and provides premedical students with an opportunity to learn from each other.
Applications become available in early spring via email and this website.
There is a a one-time fee of $50 for national dues and a one-time fee of $20 for local Chapter dues.
To become a member of the premedical honor society, AED, you need to have completed 44-45 semester hours and have an overall GPA of 3.20 and a science and math GPA of 3.20 or greater. Most premed students apply to be members in the spring semester of their sophomore year.
Please note you do NOT need to be a member of AED to participate in the premed activities offered through AED. Our meetings and social events are for all premed students on campus.
