We gathered grass seeds and planted trees along the Illinois River Watershed.  We worked with the Watershed Conservation Resource Center during Make A Difference Day 2016.

Environmental Impact

The grass seeds we collected are native to the area and help stabilize the banks of the river along with collecting debri.  The trees we planted are also to help stabilize the banks of the river by using their large roots.  When rivers erode, they become shallower and slower which affects the native biological wildlife downstream.
