The Fayetteville Public Library is hosting a literary festival including several famous authors, like Lois Lowry, author of “The Giver.” They have asked TBP to send volunteers for the following dates and times:

  1. Saturday, October 3rd from 9:00pm-10:30pm- Re-set Children’s book bins and take down chairs and staging. Lifting up to 25 lbs. Need 10 volunteers.
  2. Tuesday, October 6th from 7:45pm-9:30pm- Move Children’s book bins and DVD’s bins. Lifting up to 25 lbs. Need 20 volunteers.
  3. Wednesday, October 7th from 10:00am-11:00am- Move tables and chairs, set-up for reception. Lifting up to 25 lbs. Need 20 volunteers.
  4. Wednesday, October 7th from 1:30pm-4:00pm- Move library shelving, set-up stage and chairs. Lifting up to 25 lbs. Need 20 volunteers.
  5.  Wednesday, October 7th from 5:30pm-7:00pm- Bus tables after reception. Lifting up to 25 lbs. Need 5 volunteers.
  6. Wednesday, October 7th from 6:15pm-8:00pm- Put dishes and glasses in dishwasher, put away serving pieces, break down reception area. Lifting up to 10 lbs. Need 10 volunteers.
  7.    Wednesday, October 7th from 8:15pm-11:30pm (*or as long as you can stay)- Move library shelving, move DVD’s bins, take down chairs. Lifting up to 25 lbs. Need 50 volunteers.

 

If you wish to sign up, reply to directly at Tammy Easley. This will count as one of your required service activities so get a signature from Tammy or your supervisor as proof that you went. It should be fun, so don’t miss out!
