International Student Organization (ISO) was excited to meet the new international students at the University of Arkansas. During the Fall 2016 orientation week, ISO participated in the Resource Fair on August 16th, 2016 from 11 am to noon in Verizon Ballroom. Three ISO officers (Febriyanti, Lemuel and Ploy) were at the table explaining the new graduate students what ISO is, what this organization already did in the past as well as the upcoming events that ISO plans to do for both Fall 2016 such as ISO Kick-Off and International Bazaar and Spring 2017 for ISO Banquet. They also invited the new students to like ISO U of A Facebook page where all UA international students frequently get connected to exchange information. Many students use this to find a roommate, apartment, to have someone to continue a sublease, to sell and buy furniture, bikes, electronic devices, etc. and even to find a ride from or to Fayetteville from nearby cities like Dallas or Little Rock. To some extent, international students share the same problems, and ISO U of A Facebook page helps to bridge them, so they can find solutions among them. Some student organizations on campus also use this page to post announcement about their events. (FL)
