Thanks to all who were able to come to our meeting!

  • We had about 20 people in attendance.
  • Olivia Caillouet was elected to be our Vice President because our previous VP graduated in December.
  • In addition to our 5 officers attending the Southern Region ASHS Conference, we are able to send 3 members also. We had 3 people who attended the meeting who volunteered to go.
    • Members attending the conference will meet again to discuss travel plans and the schedule, most likely February 1st.
  • Our annual spring plant sale will be April 29th and 30th at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks.
    • There will be other local horticulture companies at the BGO during this time also.
    • We will have our first planting day after ASHS, in about 2 weeks.
  • Work days at our garden between Maple East and West will begin again in March.
    • A survey will be sent out to get preferences on work days.
  • Thursday, January 28th at 7pm there will be an impromptu Plant Sale Committee meeting in the green room (PTSC 304).
    • If you have some ideas of plants to sell or just want to help this committee plan, it is the perfect opportunity to get involved!
  • April 22nd is Earth Day and we will be partnering with other campus organizations to help give away plants and educate the community about Earth Day and what the Horticulture Club is about.
  • More volunteer opportunities will be posted soon.
