As a part of distinguished lecture series, we hosted our first ever motivational seminar on Leadership for all graduate students on November 9 at 5 pm in 2268, Bell Engineering, University of Arkansas. Eminent Professor of Industrial Engineering, and Former Chancellor at University of Arkansas, Dr. John A. White Jr. was our honored guest speaker. Here is the abstract of the presentation:

Recognizing the Leader in You
Sadly, many students fail to recognize the leadership roles they play in the lives of others. In his presentation, Professor White will share lessons he has learned during his leadership journey. Drawing on his experiences in academe, business, and government, he will endeavor to place a mirror in front of each person attending the seminar, so each person can see a leader staring herself for himself in the face. The world is hungering for exemplary leaders. Who better than you to provide the leadership for which the world is hungering?
