Welcome to the Alpha Sigma chapter of the Alpha Chi Sigma, located at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas!

What is AXE?

Alpha Chi Sigma is a co-ed professional fraternity in chemistry. We do not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, ethnicity, or creed. Membership is open to those studying chemistry, biochemistry, or chemical engineering; as well as related subjects such as molecular biology, ceramic engineering, nutritional science, and many others. Undergraduates, graduate students, and professors may all join.

Alpha Chi Sigma is and its members are bound by the following three objects:

  1. To bind its members with a tie of true and lasting friendship.
  2. To strive for the advancement of chemistry both as a science and as a profession
  3. To aid its members by every honorable means in the attainment of their ambitions as chemists throughout their mortal lives.

Membership is open to anyone with a strong interest in chemistry and a desire to join a strong community. For more information, see the Pledge Information Page.
