Mentorship Program

The first of its kind mentorship program was created in the Biomedical Engineering Department. This program was established with the mentees in mind as a needs/interest based mentorship program primarily focused on giving resources to young BMEG students. The goal of this mentorship program was to help in the development of leadership skills, help with post-college plans, and assist with class selection based on advice from upperclassmen. Even today, this mentorship program continues providing these necessary resources to any BMEG students who desire to be as successful as possible. This program has thrived in giving students the ability to meet with other students and executive people from major industries such as Wright Medical and Smith & Nephew. Additionally, this mentorship program has allowed students on the pre-graduate school or pre-medical school track to gain insight on clinical or research opportunities, as well as the application process for those schools.
